  • Develop a candidate database to market to current or prospective clients.

  • Interview candidate to understand work histories, skill levels, compensation and goals.

  • Daily interface with manager to review sales and recruiting techniques, discussing recommendations for improvements.

    Business Development Manager

    (Enterprise Solutions - Practice Management)

    As a member of V.L.S Systems Inc.'s Enterprise Solutions team, the Business Development Manager is responsible for the development and growth of a specific technology practice to include one of the following: eBusiness / eCRM, CRM, ERP, Data Warehousing, Reporting, Quality Assurance, Security Assurance, and Networking.

    This is achieved by:

  • Creating a defined technology practice offering.
  • Building a technology resource capability.
  • Creating alliance partnerships with leading edge software & hardware corporations

  • Educating V.L.S Systems Inc.'s sales organization on the practice offering & competencies.

  • Providing sales qualification and pre-sales support.

  • Maximizing sales opportunities recognized through the sales organization

  • Effectively positioning V.L.S Systems Inc. as a consulting and services company

  • Coordinating with Solutions Architects and Engagement Managers to formulate solutions.

  • Creating client proposals.
  • Growing the Practice revenue and profit margin.

    Qualifications:

  • Consulting services experience with one or more of the specified Practice areas.

  • A clear understanding of consulting and services of software and hardware solution implementations.

  • Strong business development experience with software and hardware products and solutions.

  • Ability to create and develop strategic alliance partnerships with leading edge software companies.

  • Business skills to manage the overall growth and development of the technology Practice.

  • Relationship skills to ensure the continued education of your focused technologies to the sales organization.

  • Ability to recognize and capitalize on sales opportunities through alliance and V.L.S Systems Inc. sales organizations.

  • Leadership skills to evangelize new business development opportunities supported through the Enterprise Solutions team.

    Requirements

  • 5+ years of business development experience with software product and/or services.

  • Experience with a leading technology solution.

    Account Executive, Fairfax, VA

    V.L.S Systems Inc. is currently seeking sales professionals in our Fairfax, VA headquarters and to help develop field office operations in Houston, TX, Boston, MA and NY/NJ. The Account Executive develops key relationships with managers in Fortune 1000 companies. In this tele-sales role, you will be contacting Fortune 1000 companies to learn more about their IT initiatives and promote V.L.S Systems Inc. staffing solutions for critical projects.

    Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with project managers/directors of your key accounts.

  • Develop a strategic understanding of your key accounts to help staff critical projects.

  • Define staffing needs with client management. Source appropriate talent to meet client specifications.

  • Cultivate new accounts. Become familiar with client strategic planning information such as project plans, organization charts and annual objectives.

  • Work with V.L.S Systems Inc. Associates (technical recruiters) to secure appropriate resources for client engagements.

    Requirements
  • This position requires a minimum of 2-5 years of consultative business-to-business sales experience, preferably in selling to mid- to upper-level management.

  • You should be detailed and process-oriented with excellent phone and communication skills.
